The 96-year-old Queen Elizabeth II arrived in Scotland on Monday for a week-long visit to attend many royal activities, along with a number of her family.
Her trip to this Holyrood Week was not announced until the last minute, as is the norm now, as she is having difficulty walking.
The Queen was photographed smiling, wearing a blue dress, and leaning on a cane at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh, on the occasion of the Ceremony of the Keys; The Queen traditionally hands over the keys to the city and is received in the ‘Old and Hereditary Kingdom of Scotland’.
She was accompanied by her son Edward and his wife Sophie.
The Queen’s last appearance dates back to last week, when she met at Windsor Castle; Where she now resides, the Governor of New South Wales in Australia.
The British celebrated over four days at the beginning of this month the 70th anniversary of her accession to the throne. At the time, she looked 3 times on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
