The response came this time through a statement issued by Elissa’s lawyer, Mark Habaka.
In the statement, Habaka said that the contract signed with “Watery of Shore SAL” was signed with i-Records LLC, not with Elissa.
He added that the company was aware of the termination of the contract, as it was informed of two previous warnings, followed by an official termination, and not, as Watari said, that they were surprised by this decision.
Mark continued, that talking regarding a dispute with the artist Ziad Burji and limiting him to the latter is a new attempt to evade the legal consequences of all the violations committed by the “Watri” company.
He concluded that the threat of digital distribution companies, as stated in the “Watery of Shore S.A.L.” statement, and the misleading of public opinion that the latter is still the exclusive distributor approved by the artist Elisa, is nothing but a desperate attempt and a grave legal violation added to the record of legal violations.
