These personalities who make up the French-speaking Switzerland of 2023

A police chief. An opera singer. A film director. A champion horseman. A radio presenter. But also two sisters who excel in rethinking catering and pastry. A municipal councilor who works hard for his city. An entrepreneur who wants to clean up space…

As in previous years, the quest for Temps to identify the “100 personalities who made French-speaking Switzerland”, on the sidelines of the Forum of 100, turned out to be a huge breath of fresh air. The thousands of proposals received and analyzed by the editorial team have allowed us to discover exciting, promising and resolutely optimistic paths. At the Forum des 100, look to tomorrow with confidence

Pause everything. And take the time to think. This is one of the ambitions of the Forum des 100 which will be held on October 31 at the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne. The weather will organize a morning of conferences on the Switzerland of tomorrow. This theme, necessarily very general, will allow us to question the different possible futures available to our country, via four well-designed themes.

On the financial plan, Switzerland emerged a little groggy from the takeover of Credit Suisse by UBS. However, a few months later, it’s as if the file was already put in a cupboard and it was urgent for everyone to move on.

Technologically , we seem to be promised the worst as well as the best. A year following the sensational arrival of ChatGPT and as technology intrudes more and more into our daily lives, how can we ensure that these tools are at our service and do not, on the contrary, contribute to further polarizing our interactions?

Politically, autumn will of course be scorching. A big week following the federal elections, the presidents of the UDC and the Socialist Party as well as representatives of the PLR, the Center and the Greens will come to learn the lessons of the first round of the federal elections.

Culturally speaking, French-speaking Switzerland has seen an impressive number of talents flourish in recent years, some of whom are increasingly moving abroad. For what? Comedians Marina Rollman, Vincent Kucholl, Yann Marguet and Thomas Wiesel will provide explanations for their success.
