The draft Land Law (amended) is being consulted by the people until the end of March 15. This draft focuses on collecting comments on 9 key contents, including regulations on land users.

Specifically, Article 5 on land users stipulates in the direction of eliminating households using land. Specifically, if the current Land Law 2013 stipulates that households who are allocated land by the State, leased land, recognized land use rights, and received land use rights transfer as prescribed, are now land users. The draft stipulates that “land-using households, including people related by marriage, blood, and rearing in accordance with the law on marriage and family, have the right to use land before the effective date of this Law. onion”, that is, following the new law is passed and takes effect, the State will no longer allocate or lease land, recognize land use rights, or transfer land use rights to households.
