The press conference was attended by directors Magdy Ahmed Ali and Omar Abdel Aziz, artists Amir Chahine, Sherif Helmy, Ahmed Magdy and Yasmine El-Khatib, and a number of critics, journalists and media from Tunisia.
Dr. Abla Al-Aswad, Director of the Djerba Arab Film Festival, said that she is grateful to the star, Elham Shaheen, because she is a supporter of culture and the arts in general, and that she is a human being in all the meanings of humanity.
For her part, the actress, Elham Shaheen, said that she is grateful for the honor from the Djerba Arab Film Festival in its second session, and that she loves to support the nascent festivals that begin and that she supports Dr. She is accustomed to attending seminars and films at film festivals because of their lack of a good understanding of the concept of cinema, and that she faced many difficulties when she founded the Aswan Women’s Film Festival, as she invited artists and worked to support the festival and the audience to attend the events, praising the role of festival director Abla Al-Aswad, who she considers a lover of cinema, She works hard to raise the status of Arab cinema and the role of her country, Tunisia.
And regarding her artistic history, the Egyptian star Elham Shaheen said: My problem is that I assume the personality in an exaggerated way and it affects my personal life because of the merger, and I see that the excessive integration of the artist is not healthy and most of the times that I visited the doctors were due to the merger and being affected by the impersonation of the characters, and I am proud of my movie “Oh Donia Ya Grammy And my movie “The Fun Market” and I consider it one of the films closest to my heart because it has a bold and important message. I also love the issue that I discussed in the movie “One Zero” and I love presenting various and controversial issues.
Regarding the absence of the stars of her generation from the artistic scene, Elham Shaheen said: There is an unannounced exclusion of a large number of our generation for undisclosed reasons, and I imagine that the one who rejects this generation is a person who does not understand and does not appreciate the value of the writer, director or actor, but rather does not value the value of people, artists and enlightenment makers, and that the director The strong or the strong, self-confident action leader does not shout during filming or create a state of tension because of his loud voice, and I love director Magdy Ahmed Ali and director Omar Abdel Aziz in the setting and during the filming atmosphere.
And regarding her artistic dreams, Shaheen said: The wish of my life was to embody the personality of Hatshepsut, the first Egyptian ruler in history, and I had agreed to work as a series and a movie with the late star Youssef Chahine, but the star Youssef Chahine was busy filming the movie “She is a Chaos” and when he finished it, God passed away. We might not make the film, and now I did not do it because Hatshepsut was young and the time for this work had passed, and I am fortunate that God created me as an artist, because it is not my job, but rather I love art, and I lived the life of many personalities, rather I lived more than 101 personalities in my life, I love art It is not a job, but it is a passion and love for cinema, but I like to make characters that are far from me and not like me, because I like to live other lives with their problems, their way, their clothes, and their expressions.
And regarding her upcoming work, Shaheen said: I am preparing a new film called “Banat Sabra”, which revolves around the forced marriage of minors and the circumcision of girls. Ignorance, I also have a movie called “Vito”.
