Eleven bidders participate in the tender for rehabilitation works on the Graneros del Sur route

Asuncion, IP Agency.- A total of nine companies and two consortia presented their proposals this Friday to the Ministry of Public Works and Communications, in the National Public Tender for the rehabilitation of the Graneros del Sur route, in the department of Itapúa.

The project connects the towns of Carmen del Paraná, Fram, La Paz and Capitán Miranda and directly benefits more than 35,000 people in its area of ​​direct influence.

The participants that will compete for the contracts are Construpar SA, LT SA, Benito Roggio e Hijos SA, Tecnoedil SA Constructora, Constructora Isacio Vallejos SA, Tocsa SA, Concret-Mix SA, Constructora Heisecke SA, Consorcio Crisol, MM Sociedad Anónima and Consorcio del South.

The project, divided into two lots, seeks not only to improve road infrastructure, but also to boost logistical efficiency in a key area for the country’s agricultural production.

Lot 1 will cover 35.4 km from Carmen del Paraná to La Paz, while Lot 2 will extend for 23 km from La Paz to Capitán Miranda.

The tender includes an innovative component consisting of the fact that each company may be awarded only one lot, thus promoting competition and diversification in the execution of the project.

Comprehensive approach to the work

Beyond the asphalt, the rehabilitation contemplates a comprehensive approach that covers everything from drainage systems and road safety to environmental preservation. The execution period of 12 months per lot promises a rapid transformation of the road landscape of the region.

The MOPC initiative will not only improve the quality of life of local residents, but will also boost the competitiveness of the agricultural sector by reducing transportation costs and travel times for producers in the area.
