To assist, guide and respond to victims of violence, 1,900 officers graduated to join the Gender Police, one of the main mechanisms to prevent violence once morest women, especially in the 11 municipalities with a Gender Alert in the state of Mexico.

The graduation ceremony was held at the Universidad Mexiquense de Seguridad, in Nezahualcóyotl, in which the president pointed out that said security force, created in 2018, has elements that, due to their performance, sensitivity and professionalism, have earned the In addition, in coordination with the Search Cells and with the Municipal Analysis and Context Units, the Gender Police carry out home visits and issue protection measures in favor of female victims.

He also said that the joint work of the Gender Police, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGJEM) and the Judiciary, has allowed the State of Mexico to sentence with the highest sentences at the national level, setting a fundamental precedent for the future. of justice in Mexico.

In order to eradicate this type of violence, he added that the entity also has the Specialized First Intervention Unit for Attention to Gender Violence, the first of its kind in the country, and which operates within the Control, Command, Communication, Computing and Quality (C5) of Toluca, with specialists who assist women in situations of violence by telephone, and allows detecting and monitoring the areas with the highest incidence.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of Security, Rodrigo Martínez-Celis, urged the graduates to conduct themselves in strict adherence to respect for human rights, and stressed that the excellent preparation they received during their professional training will contribute to making the State more secure and from Mexico.
