Some people turn to e-cigarettes in the belief that they are a safe alternative to regular cigarettes. Without realizing that it is no less dangerous than it. It may even outweigh the risks.

Where a team of experts from the Massachusetts Hospital announced that smoking e-cigarettes leads to several chronic health risks. Perhaps the most prominent of these are blockage of the minute respiratory passages, shortness of breath, and chest pain.

The researchers studied the condition of lung tissue from people who smoked e-cigarettes for 3-8 years, using a microscope, looking for traces of chronic diseases.

They observed fibrosis and damage to the airways, such as those caused by inhaling chemicals. The researchers also noted a slight improvement in patients who quit smoking e-cigarettes for 1-4 years, with the scars remaining.

After conducting an in-depth examination of the participants in this study, the researchers discovered that they had bronchiolitis stenosis caused by bronchial fibrosis. They also discovered that 75% of them had signs of mild emphysema, because they had previously smoked conventional cigarettes.

It is reported that previous studies revealed the negative impact of e-cigarette smoking on the heart, brain, lungs and colon.
