In several areas of Caracas and other states of the country, electricity service began to be restored around 9:30 am, after the National blackout recorded in the early hours of Friday, August 30.
According to reports on social media, service was partially restored in the following areas of the Capital District and Miranda: El Hatillo, La Paz, El Paraíso, Propatria, Macaracuay, Sebucán, Las Mercedes, Los Dos Caminos, La California Norte, among others.
However, minutes later users reported that the power went out again. Users also indicated that, although the electric service was restored, the same did not happen with the signal of the telephone operators in the country.
Second restoration of service
At around 1:30 pm, citizens in Greater Caracas reported that electricity service had been restored. However, there are still problems with Internet connections and telephone operator signals.
Some areas where it was reported that there was electricity are the following: San Bernandino, Victoria Avenue, Catia, Petare, Lomas del Ávila, Bello Monte, Lídice, Manicomio, La California Norte and San Antonio de los Altos, Fuerzas Armadas Avenue, La Candelaria, Panteón Avenue and Colinas de Bello Monte.

Second blackout in less than 72 hours
At 4:40 am on Friday, August 30, a national blackout occurred. The Minister of Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez, reported through his Telegram account that the country suffered a “new electrical sabotage.”
“There was an electrical sabotage in Venezuela that affected almost the entire national territory. All 24 states have reported a total or partial loss of electricity supply.”
Náñez said that they activated a special surface transport plan.
“In Caracas and Miranda state, protocols were activated so that if you travel to work, you can do so with free surface transportation service,” he said.
The first blackout occurred on the night of August 27. which affected Caracas and several entities of the country.
During the power outage that lasted about two hours, some of the areas in Caracas that were left without service were: San Martín, Baralt Avenue, La Candelaria, Propatria, La California, Los Cortijos, Colinas de Bello Monte, Los Palos Grandes, Las Mercedes, La Trinidad, Caurimare, among others.
Failures were also reported in El Hatillo, the Equestrian Club Terraces, San Luis, Santa Paula, San Antonio de los Altos, Los Teques and Parque Caiza.
Likewise, Zulia, Falcon, Lara, Carabobo, Merida, Tachira, Sucre and Nueva Esparta were affected by the blackout.
