The Department of Pre-charged Meters in Tahrir Electricity Engineering, affiliated with the Buhaira Electricity Distribution Company, explained how to calculate the electricity consumption bill for September 2022, and the prices of the electricity bill segments, through the company’s official page on the social networking site Facebook.

The meters section explained the method of calculating the electricity bill for all segments, which came as follows:
Calculate the first tier of electricity consumption
The monthly consumption of the first segment of the domestic sector, which starts from zero to 50 kilowatts, is calculated at a price of 48 piasters per kilowatt.
The total consumption of the first bracket = 48 piasters * 50 kilowatts = 24 pounds + 1 pound for customer service = 25 pounds.
For prepaid counters, the “card” is programmed with time and date, and returns to the first segment with the first minute of each month.
Calculation of the second tier of electricity consumption
The monthly consumption is calculated for the second segment of the household sector, which starts from 51 to 100 kilowatts, at a price of 58 piasters per kilowatt.
The total consumption of the second bracket = (48 piasters * 50 kilowatts = 24 pounds) + (58 piasters * 50 kilowatts = 29 pounds) + 2 customer service pounds = 55 pounds.
For prepaid “card” meters, the customer service price difference of 1 EGP is deducted when the meter reaches the second bracket.
Calculation of the third tier of electricity consumption
The monthly consumption of the third bracket for the domestic sector, which starts from 101 to 200 kilowatts, is calculated, at a price of 77 piasters per kilowatt, and 6 pounds for customer service.
The total consumption becomes 150 kilowatts = 150 * 77 piasters = 115.5 pounds + 6 pounds, customer service = 121.5 pounds.
Total consumption of 200 kilowatts = 200 * 77 piasters = 154 pounds + 6 pounds customer service = 160 pounds
The difference of a chip for card counters will be deducted, in the amount of 28 pounds, when it reaches the third chip.
