Electrician Fatality in Dietikon: Zurich Cantonal Police Investigation

A 58-year-old electrician had a serious accident in Dietikon on Thursday evening. He died of his injuries in the hospital on Friday night, as the Zurich cantonal police announced on Friday morning.

The worker was doing electrical work on Lerzenstrasse in Dietikon shortly before 5 p.m. yesterday. For reasons that are still unclear, he fell from his step ladder and sustained serious head injuries. After initial treatment, he was flown to the hospital in a rescue helicopter. The 58-year-old died from his serious injuries during the night.

The exact course of the accident is currently being clarified by the Zurich cantonal police in collaboration with the public prosecutor’s office. In addition to the Zurich cantonal police, the Dietikon city police as well as the Dietikon fire department and the AAA Alpine Air Ambulance were on duty.
