An agreement has been reached between Chinese auto company BYD and Hub Power Company Limited for the sale of electric vehicles in Pakistan.

Pakistan is entering a new era of automotive technology after the announcement of the partnership, which marks the introduction of electric vehicles in the Pakistani market.

BYD has become the world’s largest electric vehicle maker, overtaking Tesla last year.

It ended 2023 with record-breaking sales volume, surpassing the 3 million annual sales target and becoming the global new energy vehicle sales champion for the second year in a row.

So far, the auto giant’s overseas business has covered Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica and many other countries, and its electric vehicles are sold in six continents, more than 50 countries and regions, and 200 worldwide. More cities have been covered.

BYD’s decision to promote the production of electric vehicles in Pakistan has opened the way for the export of right-hand drive vehicles.

It should be noted that this news has come at a time when the government of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is trying to attract investment in the country to increase its foreign exchange reserves.
