Local advocates, like Kara Gurl, planning and advocacy manager for the Permanent Citizens Advisory Committee to the MTA, are equally vocal about the importance of electric vehicles, particularly for the comfort of passengers.

“The significance of emissions-free buses for riders’ health and overall well-being cannot be overstated,” Gurl emphasizes.

“We are monitoring the new administration’s policies and priorities, but we have seen no indication that they will interrupt the Federal Aviation Administration eVTOL certification process underway,” Holmes stated, highlighting the continued momentum of eVTOL development.
