There is an acceleration and it comes from a rapprochement between the real estate world and the energy world. Vaudoise Assurances and the Zurich electricity supplier EKZ said on Tuesday that they had joined forces to install electric charging stations in Switzerland. An announcement that follows two similar press releases last week. One from a French group Electra and Energy Infrastructure Partners, a German-speaking asset manager, and the other from Coop and a Zurich firm, Energy 360.
Announcements that are timely because sales of electric vehicles are settling in 2023 and experts see this as the consequence of a lack of home sockets. The share of electric models on Swiss roads remains higher than in neighboring countries, but Switzerland is losing its lead. However, to decarbonize its economy, it must do better.
