WHS bets on electric vehicle chargers to serve a R$150 million market in new charging stations in Brazil by 2025

According to projections by the Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association (ABVE), the country is expected to install around 10,000 new charging points (electric vehicle chargers) in commercial establishments in cities and highways

The company’s proposal is to work with integrated electromability, solar energy and battery energy storage systems

WHS, a seller of photovoltaic equipment and authorized distributor of the WEG brand, is eyeing the planned expansion of 10,000 new electric stations in Brazil by 2025, according to projections by the Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association (ABVE).

According to WHS mapping, the new charging points planned in the period, which will mostly have installations in large commercial establishments in cities and highways, will require charging equipment with higher added value and more powerful, which has an estimated market of around R$150 million for chargers alone.

According to ABVE, Brazil currently has around 3,800 public charging points for electric vehicles, a number 30% higher than in December 2022, when there were approximately 2,900.

The proposal of WHS, a company belonging to the Bonö Group, is to offer integrated solutions in the areas of electromability and solar energy, in addition to expanding the portfolio with battery energy storage systems, it also has an All-In E-Shop platform -One, which brings agility, a broad portfolio and easier access to WEG brand products.
