The Renault Kwid E-Tech electric city car can now be purchased in South America. Brazil is its first market.
The diamond brand has just announced the start of pre-sale of Renault Kwid E-Tech 100% electric in Brazil. It is the first market of this model in South America where it will arrive imported from China, the country in which the other global versions are produced.
Electric Kwid order books will be open Until Julywhile deliveries will start in august for customers in neighboring country. Going forward, it will be regularly marketed at dealerships as the most affordable vehicle in the E-Tech range.
As for its competition in Brazil, this model is established as the more affordable with a price of 142,990 reais. If it reached Colombia, it would be one step higher than quadricycles like Renault Twizy y Zhidou D2S, competing directly with Changan E-Star.

Although in general terms the new Renault Kwid E-Tech that arrives in South America is practically the same as its counterparts Renault City K-ZE sold in China and Dacia Spring in Europe, the French brand reports that it received adjustments for adapt to the context.
Its exterior design differs from the rest of the usual Kwid range due to the closed front grill, distinctive chrome trim and “E-Tech” badging on the door sills, plus eliminate exhaust outlets rear. Otherwise it is the same.
Compared to the international versions, the Brazilian electric Kwid received a dose of extra power. While City K-ZE and Spring deliver 44 horses, here the electric subcompact will offer 65 horsepower and 27 kWh battery.
Autonomy and equipment
The figures and benefits include: autonomy of 265 kilometers in combined cycle and up to 298 kms in urban environments. Acceleration from 0 to 50 km/h takes 4.1 seconds and the top speed is 130 km/h. Capacity of 290 liter storage.
The equipment of the new electric Renault Kwid is complemented by seis airbags y Stability control in the safety section, as well as starting on a slope and tire pressure. Technologically, it has a seven-inch screen that connects to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
