Gorky Automobile Plant has launched small-scale production of GAZelle e-NN electric vehicles in minibus, van, combi van and flatbed truck versions. The retail price of the novelty starts from 6 million rubles, which is regarding 1.5 times more expensive than the counterpart with an internal combustion engine.
Visually, the GAZelle e-NN does not differ from the usual Gazelle NN. Under the hood of the novelty is a synchronous electric motor that develops peak power up to 136 horsepower (rated power 61 hp) and is located at the rear axle. The power plant produces 310 Nm of torque and is connected to the rear axle through a gearbox. The maximum speed of the electric vehicle is 100 km/h.
The design provides for a battery pack with a total capacity of 48 kWh, thanks to which the GAZelle e-NN can travel up to 120 km without recharging. Optionally, additional batteries can be installed, due to which the cruising range will increase to 200 km. The battery supports fast charging. According to the manufacturer, the process of charging up to 80% takes 30 minutes.
The recuperation mode allows you to recharge the batteries during braking, which is especially important in urban traffic, involving frequent stops. To save energy, the electric car is equipped with a pre-heater and an interior heater that run on diesel fuel.
