The electric passenger car market in Romania registered in May a volume of 1402 new electric passenger cars, registered, according to the data analyzed by Profit.ro, with a very large increase of 90%, compared to the only 739 registered a year ago year.
The main reason is the start of the Rabla Program and the gap of regarding one month compared to the previous year, once morest the background of the exit from the semiconductor crisis, a situation that led to very large deliveries of cars from the manufacturers, for orders made in the previous months and which were only waiting for approval from Rabla.
Compared to May of 2022, when the only star was Dacia Spring, while import models were almost non-existent (the best-selling electric import models were Hyundai Kona, VW e-Up and Tesla Model 3, but with very small volumes), this year the large deliveries of Model Y (118 units), Model 3 (114 units), both from Tesla, as well as Renault Megane E-Tech (97 units) were noted.
In the ranking of the month, the VW e-Up, VW ID.3, Hyundai Kona and VW ID.4 were also in the following places.
