It was barely 6 a.m. Thursday morning when a neighborhood in Crans-Montana was awakened by a worrying detonation. The source of the noise: an electric car, parked in front of its owners’ house, literally exploded. Fortunately, no one was at the scene and no one was injured in the incident. However, the facade of the house was damaged by the explosion and the flames that followed.
According to our information, the vehicle was not plugged in for charging at the time. When questioned, the police confirmed that a technical problem was probably the cause of the incident, but the investigation into the circumstances leading to the explosion is still ongoing.
