The electric hypersports car Rimac Refrigerator joined the Guinnes Book. In this case, it became the fastest car in the world when it reached 275.74 km/hbut walking in reverse gear. The feat was accomplished with Croatian driver Goran Drndak at the Papenburg test track in Germany and was recorded on video.

To give you an idea, the record that was broken by the vehicle lasted 22 years. At the time, British Darren Manning was driving a Caterham 7 Fireblade when he reached a speed of 165.08 km/h, in 2001. Below, you can see the new mark being reached on the official Guinness channel.

In general, the Rimac Nevera was already considered one of the fastest cars in the world. In total, it has four motors, one on each wheel to move. With this, the model receives a power of 1,914 hp, with a maximum speed of 412 km/h and 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.81 seconds.

Its structure allows the same power to be applied to the car in reverse gear. In May this year, the vehicle managed to break 23 speed records in one day. Furthermore, he set the best lap ever for an electric car on the Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany, taking 7 minutes and 0.928 seconds.
