Electoral commission: F. Tshisekedi re-elected as president of DR Congo

The opposition calls this presidential election a fraud.

Tresor Kibangula, a political analyst at the Ebuteli research institute, who spoke to AFP before all preliminary results were announced, said Tshisekedi’s vote count “surpassed all expectations”.

“His dynamic campaign has paid off,” but his results in some regions “raise questions regarding the impact of the observed irregularities,” he said.
