Elections for the Central Council of “Iraqi Writers”

After a day full of hard work, the General Union of Iraqi Writers and Writers announced the results of its elections, which took place yesterday, Friday, in the capital, Baghdad, and 103 candidates competed for its seats.
After sorting the results, Omar Al-Saray, Jamal Al-Hashemi, Munther Abdel-Har, Hassan Al-Bahar, Ali Al-Fawaz, Abdel-Sada Al-Basri, Aref Al-Saadi, Najeh Al-Maamouri, Jabbar Al-Kawaz, Rawya Al-Shaer, Rajaa Al-Rubaie, Ali Farhan, Ali Shabib won the membership of the Central Council. Ward, Gram Al-Rubaie, Imran Al-Khayyat, Hanoun Majid, Abdul Amir Al-Majjar, Fadel Thamer, Ali Al-Emara, Abdel Moneim Al-Amir, Maan Ghaleb Sabbah, Ghannam Muhammad Khader, Adnan Al-Fadhli, Ammar Al-Masoudi, Hamad Al-Doukhi, Shukr Al-Salihi, Awat Hassan Amin, Hussein Jaff, Muhammad Hussain, Moshe Boulos.
While the reserve seats were won by Muhammad Khader Al-Hamdani, Jassem Muhammad Jassam, Hazem Al-Shamri, Taha Al-Zorbati and Ali Mijbil Al-Mulaifi.
The tasks will be distributed later to the winners, and it is expected that the poet Omar Al-Saray will be the new president of the Union of Iraqi Writers in this session, as he has the largest number of votes, having obtained 976 votes.
After 2003, the Iraqi Writers Union elections were held, where the late Inad Ghazwan won the first session, who did not complete his session due to his death. The critic Fadel Thamer, who won two successive sessions, was replaced by the critic Najeh Al-Mamouri in the previous session.
