Elden Ring: One of the best talismans to start with is regenerating your life points

Elden Ring offers with talismans another possibility besides your equipment to make your character stronger. They can be particularly useful at the start. We at MeinMMO will show you where to find one of the best early on.

How talismans work in Elden Ring: These are pieces of gear that you can equip in addition to your weapons and gear. There are a number of variants, each with a different effect.

  • For example, they can increase your mana or your life points.
  • There are even talismans that increase the damage of certain damage types, but reduce your resistances.
  • You can even increase your attributes with talismans, but you also have to accept a lower resistance to all types of damage.

How to equip talismans? As you progress through the game you will unlock several rune slots. You will get the first one following Defeat Margit the Cruel Mark.

One particularly useful talisman can be found early in the game: the Blessed Tautalisman.

Blessed Talisman – effect and location

What is this talisman and why is it worth it? If you equip it, you permanently regenerate your life points.

The Blessed Tautalisman gives you additional healing

Especially at the start of the game you have only a few options to heal yourself in battle. Therefore, a regeneration of life points can be life-saving, especially for beginners.

  • At the start of the game you only have very limited uses of potions until you gradually get more.
  • Thus, a permanent regeneration of life points is very useful, especially in an emergency. If you’re running out of potions and you’re regarding to die, life regeneration can save your butt.
  • If things get tricky, all you have to do is keep your distance from the enemy until you have enough life points restored.

You can get to the capital via the Tower of Return

Where can you find the talisman? You have to go to the southern part of Limgrave for this. From the tutorial dungeon, head east until you come to the road. Follow it south and then cross the bridge to the southern island of Limgrave.

Once you have crossed the bridge, follow the road and ride to the southwestern tip of the island. There you will find the Tower of Return.

  • Watch out for the enemy knights around the tower and climb to the top.
  • There you will find a chest that you need to open. This is a hidden teleporter.
  • This chest will take you to the Royal Capital of Lyndell.
  • Activate the Place of Mercy and step through the archway behind you.
  • There is the treasure chest you are looking for on the right side.

Here you have to watch out for the golem. If you enter the area, he will notice you. You can grab the talisman in time before the giant gets you, or face the fight.

But keep in mind that the Golem is quite strong and is actually only intended for higher character levels, since it is a later area.

If you decide to fight, move around his legs and attack them alternately. Pay attention to his stomp attacks, which you should definitely dodge.

If you do enough damage, the golem falls over and you can attack its weak spot on the upper body.

You have to be quick enough to do that, though, or he’ll get up once more and you’ll let a critical attack slip through your fingers.

Alternatively, you can also attack with spells from a distance. You can check out our beginner’s guide for aspiring magicians.
