Former Steam Users complained for a forced refund for Elden Ring and the subsequent removal of the game from the library. According to users in the Steam community, the issue affected those who purchased the action RPG following the imposition of sanctions due to ongoing hostilities in Ukraine, using payment methods that are no longer supported by the digital store.

The release of Elden Ring took place on the night of February 25th. The game is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. A week following the release, the peak online title exceeded 953 thousand people – the action-RPG from the FromSoftware studio took the fifth place in terms of the simultaneous number of players in the history of Steam.
