ELBA 2024 will bring together managers, authorities and professionals who are engaged in animal welfare in three key areas: welfare in poultry and pig production, welfare in aquaculture production and animal welfare for companion animals.
The objectives of the congress are: to raise the quality of animal production and promote ‘One Welfare’, a concept that addresses well-being within the framework of animal production or health care for companion animals, including all those who participate in the process, together with the animals.
It should be noted that Animal Welfare is a crucial sustainability and an effective strategy for reducing the use of antibiotics in animals, a fundamental aspect today.
This event will have the participation of 400 participants, present 36 international lectures and be supported by a number of sponsors dedicated to animal welfare. Some of the confirmed speakers are:
- Dr. Gemma Tico Gil, distinguished speaker in reputation communication for the pork sector.
- Dr. Juan Pascual, renowned veterinarian and author of the book; “Reasons to be an omnivore”, who will share his unique perspective on animal welfare.
- Dr. Ken Opengart, current Vice President of Animal Welfare and International Sustainability at Tyson Foods. Recognized leader in the poultry industry with more than 25 years of experience.
