Is it not to love the internet and especially X (formerly twitter)? X is a separate social media outlet that needs to be approached… differently. Apart from everything else, it is the den of the biggest and brightest trolls and the epitome of rant. In short, you can’t help but laugh, as long as you are receptive to humor and don’t be misunderstood in the slightest.
In the last few days, the trending topic on X is Psimithos. It is a fictional island that was created in the mind of a media user, as the hottest destination for “fasians”.

This post triggered a tsunami of “touya” (the Greek version of the tweet) from other users, who immediately jumped on the bandwagon and created a myth, an epic “hoax”: The island of Psimythos.
Now all of Greece is talking about it, some deliberately in order to preserve the myth and others, unsuspecting, looking for information about the unknown paradise, which emerged as the most “trendy” island of this summer. The fact that Psimithos is the #3 trend in Google searches in Greece says it all!
Given its popularity, many jumped on the bandwagon using the hashtag #Psimythos so that their posts would have the greatest possible impact. Among them the Greek Police, who made the following post on X:
