Journalists Ernesto Tenembaum and Fernando Cerimedo maintained their strong confrontation this Friday during a radio interview in which they discussed President Javier Milley (Javier Milei)’s former adviser is suspected of involvement in the attempted coup after Brazil’s 2022 elections.
The conversation on Con Vos radio station began with the reading of a document from the Brazilian Federal Police, tensions quickly escalated, and ended with insults and an abrupt interruption in communications.
Tenenbaum began the interview with an allegation: A judge on Brazil’s Supreme Court noted that Cerimedo was a member of a group that sought to delegitimize the election and encourage military intervention.

The group amplified the idea of electoral fraud and encouraged Bolsonaro’s followers to resist in front of military camps, the document said.
Cerimedo denied inciting violence, saying people were already in the military camps and he asked them not to take inappropriate action.
He claimed that the Brazilian military had the ability to audit elections, suggesting they were the only ones capable of doing so.
Accusations and insults
Tensions rose when Tenebaum questioned the legitimacy of Lula da Silva’s victory. While Cerimedo recognized Lula as the legitimate president, he acknowledged that, in his view, he did not win fairly.
At Tenenbaum’s insistence, Cerimedo explained that if fraud was proven, the military should hold new elections.
However, he denied ever calling for military intervention and accused Tenebaum of manipulating his rhetoric and distorting reality.
The conversation became increasingly heated, with Serimedo accusing Tenenbaum of being a liar and a manipulator.
