LWhen the violin was taken out of its delicate case, the boys’ eyes lit up.. They were dazzled. Each of these instruments shines in its own way, and the most curious students immediately take up the challenge.
Teacher, Lucia Perea, He organized them as if they were an imaginary symphony orchestra. “Chin on our chin,” he told them. “Take the violin from the body,” he added.
Abi, Jal, Sophie, Julia, Tiago, Emanuelle, Joaquín, Tammy and Kayla looked at Lucia and imitated her poses as if they were getting ready to play. For most of the sixth grade students in 266 School, this is their first time owning such a beautiful violin..
Lucia made sure her violin was in tune and played the national anthem. The clean and harmonious sound of musical instruments spread throughout the classroom. The boys exchanged surprised looks.. and smile. The rest of the students were watching from the corner.
“First position, second position,” he pointed out. The teacher who happened to be playing violin at the time was filling in for the regular music teacher who was on leave.

The origin of these instruments
Nine violins, an accordion, a guitar and music stands were donated by 267 SchoolThe letter arrived in mid-May from a former student who was passionate regarding music and had an ambitious dream: to form a school orchestra.
Juan Antonio Keen’s memory of the long walk with his brothers along Rivadavia Street to school 266 in Costanera de Bariloche Still new. He still cherishes those experiences. For Juan, time at school is more than just studying. This is his refuge. “This is where I became literate and received my first values,” he explained to Rio Negro.inside the building whose educational community welcomed him with open arms nearly four decades later.
Life took him down paths he never imagined. Juan keeps a low profile. In fact, he almost suggested not showing up in the note. askBut for a former student who through hard work, work and enthusiasm became an orchestra conductor, choir director, pianist, music educator, it is very difficult.
Just as passion for music flows through his veins, so does unity inspire him. To this end, he created “Amadeus, Solidarity and Community Art” with the help of many people, and it was officially born on July 3, 2011, with the support of different NGOs, cancer centers, foundations and churches Participation. It is a non-profit entity headquartered in Neuquen, where Juan and his family lived for many years.
He then conceived and launched Bank of Instrumental Solidarity in the city of Neuquén. He wanted to replicate the idea elsewhere.

a special anniversary
But Juan discovered that his elementary school was turning 75 in September, and he wanted to give back something they had given him. He contacted director María Inés Ganga Navarrete, who immediately supported the move. To this end, Juan traveled with Amadeus President Rigoberto Burgos to deliver the donated instruments.
In mid-May, Juan and Rigoberto spent a day with the students, presenting part of the program they wanted to launch. timeThey also played some symphonies, giving the children their first exposure to instruments. They commented that it was a wonderful experience and the children were grateful. In addition, there are administrative and teaching staff. The director admired Juan and Rigoberto’s actions because she mentioned that the boys only had plastic flutes in music class.
Juan explains that the goal is to open doors to the world of music. Our desire is to replicate this dream in public schools so that students have access to this possibility.. It will help add schools that are not yet part of the state’s Bicentennial Orchestra program, whose continuity is in doubt this year due to changes by the state government.

However, the task is not simple. This is especially true in times of crisis and budget constraints. There are more than 600 students in school 266, and they need a teacher to teach them how to play the violin. only. For this reason, they have been knocking on the door for weeks, hoping someone would open up to support the initiative.
Juan stated that his intention andWe will be holding a concert in Bariloche Cathedral at the end of September as part of the celebrations for the school’s 75th anniversary. Our desire is for students to be the protagonists.

‘The kids were shocked’
“The truth is, the kids are amazed. All the lessons we do are regarding taking out instruments and impressing them. So that side is good once more. They are focused and seem interested in learning.
“While they love hearing me play, and there’s another girl in sixth grade who knows how to play an instrument and they love me playing, they’re more interested in learning or self-improvement. If I correct them, they won’t feel frustrated but will be more eager to learn,” he stressed.
“This happens to all my grades – second and sixth grade – although there is a big age difference, they have the same interests and enthusiasm. In this regard, the experience is very good, very good,” said the change, which was completed on Friday said the human Lucia.
He said that a few weeks ago he proposed an introductory project on the violin and “I managed to provide all aspects of it. “I had a really wonderful experience at the school,” he said. “For a lot of people, I’d tell you, for almost all of them, this was the first time they had a violin in their hands, and for them, it was a big deal for them to see themselves being able to play this instrument. It’s very motivating,” Lucia said.
