From March 19 to 21, 2024, El Salvador will host the Ibero-American Seminar called: “How to expand social security coverage to groups that are difficult to include: Legislation and good practices for the affiliation of young people in Ibero-America.”
«We are honored to host this important seminar. We know that, in our countries, we still have important debts to pay in terms of social security. That is why, as the government of President Nayib Bukele, we have promoted and strengthened actions that promote the inclusion of our young population in the formal labor markets and the social security system,” said the director of the ISSS, Mónica Ayala.
This event is organized by the Salvadoran Social Security Institute (ISSS), together with the Ibero-American Social Security Organization (OISS), with the support of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), and aims to address the barriers that institutions face and that prevent the incorporation of the young population into the social security system.
The meeting is attended by representatives of Portugal, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Uruguay, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Spain, Panama, Guatemala, Brazil, Paraguay, Chile and El Salvador.
