Abel Ayala, the actor who plays César in the series El Marginal available on Netflix, was reported for injuries and fraud, and Gustavo Grabia was the one who revealed all the information. Hours later, the famous actor came out to deny the victim’s claims.
What happened with Abel Ayala, the actor from El Marginal?
While on air for Desayuno Americano (América TV), the panelist shared the details of the scandal involving the actor. “On October 28, 2022, according to the complaint, he ran over a person named Leonardo Godoy. He hit him in the street and said he would get a lawyer to facilitate everything,” he began to say.
On Pamela David‘s show, Grabia stated that “Leonardo tried to contact Abel Ayala and the supposed lawyer,” but the victim believes they lied to him and avoided the issue to ensure that “he could not file any legal complaints and the case could be dismissed.”
For this reason, and after two years, the reporter from Desayuno Americano (América TV) sought out Leonardo to recount the situation and explained: “I recognized him right away. He was coming from over there, I was on my new 125 NS motorcycle, coming from Rubén Darío. I thought he was going to pass by without crossing my path because he didn’t signal. I didn’t have time to do anything; I hit the step of the 4×4 truck and fell over. He told me to stay calm, not to move. I was getting sleepy because I hit my foot, my hip, and my head, and my helmet broke.”
“He told me everything would be fine, to trust him. The ambulance came, and they put the motorcycle inside here (points to the country club where the actor lives) because there was time for my family to come,” he continued.
“He told me not to get involved in anything, that my health was the most important thing and that he would take care of everything. He knew a very good lawyer and introduced me to Matías Romero, from here in Moreno,” he added.
Although Leonardo had the option to use his insurance, he trusted that the actor would take care of everything, although supposedly that was not the case.
“I fractured my tibia, my knee, and my ankle. I had a severe hit on my hip which is what is bothering me the most now. I stayed in the hospital until the next day. I had insurance. He told me to leave everything in his hands, that supposedly the lawyer would take care of everything, and that I shouldn’t do anything. I know his life story, I watched all his episodes and, from my heart, I let myself be carried away,” he concluded.
In response to these accusations, the actor defended himself on social media and shared his version of events, denying Leonardo Godoy’s claims.
“As is publicly known, yesterday I was accused of being a hit-and-run driver, causing injury, and committing fraud in incidents. That I seek the dismissal of the case (which has already been adjudicated). That I ‘scandalize with my fame’ and twist the truth. That’s why they trusted me and did everything they didn’t want. It was suggested that possibly at the time of the accident, I had no insurance, which is false. And many other things…” said the actor.
“Anyone can have an accident. In the event of any incident, the claim should be made to the insurance company, not the individual. It doesn’t change if the insured worked on El Marginal, the claim should be made to the insurance. Unless I had no coverage, which was not my case. I reported the incident to my insurer and a legal process commenced as in any accident case,” he explained.
“The injured party granted a power of attorney that allowed his lawyer to represent him in absolutely everything: to collect, to sue, to mediate, etc. I will leave some evidence that the law firm representing the injured party received transfers for the payment of injuries and material expenses executed by my insurance,” concluded the actor.
Abel Ayala showed evidence and confirmed that he took responsibility for the accident caused to Leonardo Godoy, something that the victim himself did not admit, wanting to establish an incorrect version.
