“El Gato” responsible for homicide in Antímano

Juan Reyes, 29, nicknamed “El Gato,” was arrested following forensic experts determined his responsibility in the death of Juan Carlos Montilla Navas, 40, in a bloody incident recorded on Avenida Intercomunal Antímano, Libertador municipality, Caracas.

The case was referred to the 47th Court of First Instance, in charge of controlling the Criminal Judicial Circuit of the Metropolitan Area of ​​Caracas.

This arrest was carried out by mixed commissions of the CICPC, attached to the Homicide Investigation Division and Southwest Homicide Coordination, following the technical-scientific work, it was proven that the perpetrator had had a strong argument with the victim approximately three months ago.

It was learned that in said fight “El Gato” was injured by Montilla, faced with this situation the murderer looked for a way to take revenge with his own hands, it was then when on July 10, Reyes took advantage of the fact that his enemy was under the influence of alcohol, grabbed a knife, went following him and stabbed him multiple times until he was left lifeless.

After several days of intelligence work and surveillance in the area where the crime occurred, the murderer was arrested. The knife with which he attacked the victim was found among his belongings. It is worth noting that the knife was still stained with Juan Carlos Montilla Navas’ blood.
