“El Cubanito”, the man who threatened Abinader with death is ar

The National Police reported this Saturday the arrest of Roberto Antonio Soto Mejia “Cubanito”, 52 years old, who used social networks to make threats once morest the President of the Republic, Luis Rodolfo Abinader Coronaand once morest the director of the Police, Eduardo Alberto Then, as well as entertainment figures.

The Police indicated that agents assigned to the Investigation Division (Dicrim), Intelligence (Dintel) and the Preventive Police, stationed in the municipality of Baní, Peravia province, together with the Public Ministry, arrested a man who was wanted by court order for making threats via social networks to several national and international personalities, including the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader Corona, and the general director of the institution of order, Major General Eduardo Alberto Then.

Reports indicate that Soto Mejía “Cubanito” had been wanted since February 2 following issuing serious threats once morest the nation’s president and the police chief, stating that if at any time both of them went to the Baní municipality, they would be to murder, making violent gestures with a knife.
