El Chaco will debut its new road corridor very soon

Asunción, IP Agency.- With more than 95% progress in its main lots, the Agroindustrial Corridors in the Western Region, a work known as the Milk Route, is already transforming the logistics of the dairy sector and the lives of Chaco residents, according to the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC).

The MOPC report states that the nightmare of impassable roads and spilled milk in the Paraguayan Chaco will soon be in the past. The project to enable and maintain the Agroindustrial Corridors of the Western Region is reaching its final stage, to inaugurate a new era for the production and distribution of dairy products in this area of the country.

Walkability and new logistics

Much of the 184.5 kilometers of improved roads that are part of this initiative are already signposted and allow the circulation of vehicles, thus changing logistics in the Central Chaco.

Lot 1, which extends from the Pioneros Crossing to kilometer 48.4 of the trunk section, including vital accesses to Santa Cecilia and Lolita, registers more than 92% progress, being in the signaling phase and final security adjustments road

Even more promising is the progress of Lot 2, which exceeds 95 percent completion. This section, managed by the Chaco Central Consortium, connects strategic points such as the Pioneros-Paratodo Crossing, Paratodo-Douglas Crossing, and includes crucial accesses to Campo Aceval and the Infante Ávalos Sánchez Crossing.

Lot 3, divided into two key sectors (Paratodo–Cruce Douglas and Campo Aceval–Cruce Infante Ávalos Sánchez), has already completed its improvement works and is in the maintenance phase, under the responsibility of Tecnologia del Sur SAE.

This road transformation, which is possible through financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), will not only guarantee safe traffic throughout the year, but will also revolutionize the region’s productive chain.

Local producers, who previously faced significant losses due to the impossibility of transporting their production in rainy seasons, will soon debut this new corridor that will allow them to maintain their operations without interruptions, significantly improving efficiency in the collection and distribution of dairy products.
