Long ago, a powerful Demon Lord ruled the town until an equally powerful hero rose up to defeat him. To counter future threats, Rosewood Academy, a school for heroes-in-training, was created. The school’s valedictorian, a dutiful girl nicknamed “Flame Empress,” has an irritating run-in with a rakish boy in the school hallway who seems to match her powers, though she has never seen him before. He introduces himself only as Blade, and Arnest soon discovers that she is not only transferring into the school as a new student, but that she is personally requested by the King to help him adjust to everyday life at Rosewood Academy.
