Ekramy: Ramadan Sobhi will not join Zamalek

Ekramy El-Shahat, the former Al-Ahly star, and the son-in-law of Ramadan Sobhi, a Pyramids player, confirmed that the latter does not welcome the idea of joining Zamalek, indicating that he did not ask for mediation to return him to the Red Castle.

Ekramy said in statements to MBC Egypt: “What is reported on social media, 90% of it is a lie. It was said that I asked Hassan Hamdi and Hassan Mustafa to mediate for Ramadan’s return to Al-Ahly Club, and this did not happen.”

He added, “I said before that I hope Ramadan Sobhi returns to Al-Ahly, but I will not beg and knock on doors for that.”

He continued, “I was surprised by rumors that Zamalek negotiated with Ramadan Sobhi, and that the White Castle administration presented him with a “blank check”, and he refused, this did not happen.”

And he concluded: “Ramadan, if he had two options, Al-Ahly and Zamalek, would choose Al-Ahly. He rejects the idea of moving to the white team.”
