Ekmark’s ten points after HIF-Rosengård 0-4 – skanesport.se

FC Rosengård defeated HIF 4-0 at Olympia in the third round of the Swedish Cup.
Christoffer Ekmark summarizes the match in ten points.

1. We come to the match itself.
The strongest memory I will, unfortunately, carry with me is injured Julia Welin.
In the middle of the first half, she twisted her knee in a (not bad at all) melee and was laid up in severe pain.
The knee was bandaged and Welin, a civilian nurse with plenty of experience with injuries, pounded her fist on the ground in frustration with tears in her eyes.
I expect that it was a more serious injury, but also that Julia Welin will come back once more. She has left a strong mark on Scanian football in LB07, Borgeby, Södra Sandby, Malmö FF and HIF and is not done with her deed yet.

2. The result
0-4 meant that FC Rosengård is ready for group play in the cup.
HIF’s goal was to reach the third round, and after victories against Eskilsminne and Lilla Torg, it can be considered that HIF’s newcomer season in division one is fully approved.

3. The nightmare start
It had only been two minutes before Mai Kadowaki, after carelessness in the home defense, scored 0-1. The little nerve that was desired thus disappeared quite quickly.

4. Rosengård’s total dominance
HIF got three or four half-decent conversion opportunities over 90 minutes. Otherwise, it was all about defending oneself. And you can’t get a better workout. Although Rosengård rotated a lot, the home team made it as tight as possible centrally.
Two of the goals came from corners, one of which of course was headed in by the German Rebecka Knaak – the left-back has eleven goals in the league…

5. The audience figure
The October frost comes at night and there was men’s handball in the arena next door, with that still 958 people came to Olympia. Also, a heel with 20-25 HIF supporters which made the experience much livelier than it could have been.

6. Hanna Tegestål
The HIF goalkeeper could not do much for the goals, but had the chance to shine on several occasions and will be able to tell her grandchildren one day that she played against the world star Momoko Tanikawa (came on in the second half) and played 0-0 against her.

7. Bea Sprung
Only six games from the start in Rosengård this season.
But would have been the hub of any other Swedish women’s team.

8. HIF’s back line
A kind of 6-3-1:
Izabelle Wahlstedt, Johanna Andersson, Maja Nilsson on Emma Sternberg grew into the match the older it got and pushed the rest of the team to position themselves correctly under pressure. Of all the players on the court, I think that quartet benefited the most from this fight.
In front of the back line, the “sixes” Rebecka Holm and Cornelia Rahmberg toiled hard and they also started to win close matches in the second half.

9. Evelina Bertilsson
Combines life with playing soccer and being a fire engineer.
But she probably had a pretty rotten sewing consultant in the program. Humans are made to be expert commentators on TV. A cliff in the TV broadcast. Stone-cool, confident and analytical with just the right amount of pedagogical flair.
The match with Evelina’s wise words (and my general drivel) can be found here.

10. The sequel
HIF have Ljungskile at home in the series on Saturday. FC Rosengård has three (difficult) challenges left to achieve the perfect season. 23 victories in 23 games in the series this season (and 90-6 in goal difference), but Hammarby away is currently the most difficult possible opposition. Then Linköping is also waiting on the road and Djurgården at home before the Swedish champions can check out.

FC Rosengård’s 4-0 Triumph: A Cheeky Commentary

Well, well, well! FC Rosengård just took HIF to task in the Swedish Cup, climbing over them like a toddler over a sleeping dog: a quick win before they even knew what hit them! Let’s break down the match, shall we? Grab your popcorn, it’s time for some footie antics!

1. Julia Welin’s Injury: A Dramatic Turn!

Our hearts collectively stopped when Julia Welin took a tumble, twisting her knee like an overzealous yoga instructor. One minute she was in the thick of the action; the next, she was pounding the ground in a fit of frustration, tears streaming like a waterfall of despair. Thankfully, Julia’s not done yet! Her impact on Scanian football is as strong as a double espresso on a Monday morning. Here’s hoping for a speedy comeback!

2. Final Score: A Walk in the Park

And just like that, the final whistle blew with a resounding 4-0 in favor of FC Rosengård. Meanwhile, HIF’s aspirations for glory were about as realistic as finding a unicorn in downtown Malmö. Sure, they reached the third round, but let’s be honest—they were just warming up for their next game against Ljungskile!

3. A Nightmare Start

Oh, dear! It only took two minutes for Mai Kadowaki to score the opener for Rosengård, catching HIF with their proverbial pants down—talk about a nightmare! If that didn’t shake off the nerves, I don’t know what would. They might as well have arranged a sleepover, because HIF was not awake!

4. Total Dominance

Rosengård’s dominance was more profound than my attempts at daily exercise. HIF barely had a sniff at the goal, except for some half-decent chances that looked more like a toddler learning to ride a bike—close, but no cigar! The two goals from corners? Let’s just say they might have wanted to “hang tight” on their defensive duties. And Rebecka Knaak? Headed that ball in like she was trying to impress the judges at a gymnastics meet!

5. The Crowd: Frosty but Faithful

Despite it being as chilly as a polar bear’s backside, 958 brave souls showed up to support their teams, dodging the handball match next door. I guess football fans know that the ‘beautiful game’ will always be worth the frostbite. And frankly, there’s something delightful about the 20-25 die-hards showing their HIF colors. It’s like a family reunion… without the awkward questions about when you’ll settle down!

6. Hanna Tegestål: A Brave Keeper

Hannah Tegestål had a busy day and didn’t perform like a deer caught in headlights. She might as well recount her day to her grandkids about that time she faced the world-renowned Momoko Tanikawa. Sure, it wasn’t a fairytale ending for HIF, but at least she can brag about surviving the onslaught!

7. Bea Sprung: Phenomenal Talent!

Bea Sprung has played six stunning games for Rosengård this season, and I’m whispering this: she’d be the cornerstone of any other Swedish team. If talent were a currency, she’d be a millionaire, throwing cash around like confetti at a wedding!

8. HIF’s Back Line: A Toughened Defense

HIF was set up in a 6-3-1 formation, which, frankly, sounds more like a code used in a spy movie! Izabelle Wahlstedt and company held down the fort as best they could under pressure, like trying to hold a cat against a bathtub’s whirlpool! There’s resilience here, but HIF will need a little more to hold off future attacks.

9. Meet Evelina Bertilsson: Multi-Tasking Marvel

Evelina Bertilsson—you’ve got to love how she juggles being a footballer and a fire engineer! As a commentator, she was surprisingly cool and collected, dishing out insights like an experienced chef slicing onions. Who knew emergency services could double as sports analysts? This could be the start of a fiery career, pun intended!

10. What’s Next?

With HIF facing Ljungskile next, they’ll need to tighten their laces and recalibrate their game, or they may find themselves in the cold again! Meanwhile, FC Rosengård is on the hunt for a flawless season—can they achieve it against the likes of Hammarby, Linköping, and Djurgården? Buckle up, folks! Football is a rollercoaster, and we’re here for the ride!

So, there you have it! FC Rosengård sails through while HIF heads back to the drawing board—quite the entertaining match, if you ask me. Until next time, keep your boots laced and your puns sharp!
