Newcomers stepped into the ring as well as international young talent. “I have been working with the Vienna boxing team for 30 years and now we have decided to cooperate in Eisenstadt because there are great opportunities for events there,” said boxing coach Werner Lederhas.

The program was well received by the audience. “I have loved martial arts since I was little and something like this really convinces me. The motivation is there. There is a lot of energy among the young fighters,” said Lucas Schöffauer from Steinbrunn.

For Sonja Diem from Hinterbrühl in Lower Austria, it was a first: “This is actually the first time in my life that I’ve been to a boxing event because my son fought here. He lost, but he’s 45 now and he fought against an 18-year-old. And I have to say, I have the utmost respect for him. He did a brilliant job.”
