Eight people are reported injured in Ukrainian attacks against Russia

– The city of Belgorod and the surrounding area was subjected to an air attack by Ukrainian forces. Apartment blocks and cars were hit, says Governor of Belgorod, Vyacheslav Gladkov, on Telegram.

– According to preliminary information, eight people have been injured: seven adults and one child, he continues.

According to Gladkov, 19 apartment buildings, one detached house and 37 vehicles were damaged. The injured child is an eleven-year-old girl, he says.

In nearby Dubovoe, three houses and four cars were hit, Gladkov adds.

A fire also broke out at an oil refinery in the Krasnodar region after a Ukrainian drone attack there, according to Russian authorities.

Around six drones were destroyed, but their remains fell on the refinery and caused a fire, regional authorities say on Telegram. Several oil tanks were damaged, it says. The attack is said to have taken place near the village of Jurovka.

In recent months, Ukraine has attacked Russian oil refineries to hit Russia’s lucrative trade in refined oil products. The Krasnodar region is located in the south-west of Russia and has a coastline towards the Black Sea.

Belgorod is located in the west of Russia and borders Ukraine. On Monday, a drone attack there killed six people and wounded 35, according to Russia.
