Eight people were killed and 13 others injured in a gun attack in Serbia on Thursday evening. According to local media, the attack was carried out near the town of Mladenovac, around 60 kilometers south of the capital, Belgrade. The attacker shot a group of people from a moving car with a rapid-fire weapon and then fled, the public broadcaster RTS reported.
The police are looking for the suspect, it said. Numerous police and rescue vehicles were deployed and helicopters flew over the area.
A gun attack by a 13-year-old schoolboy shook Serbia on Wednesday. The 13-year-old shot nine people, including eight children, at his school in Belgrade.
In April, not far from Mladenovac, a villager shot dead 13 people. Among the dead were members of his family and neighbors.
