KAI Daop 1 Jakarta is making a number of preparations for reverse flow. These preparations include increasing the availability of seats in the passenger waiting area so that it is hoped that passengers who have just arrived and are waiting to be picked up will not stand and place items in certain areas which can disturb the movement of other passengers at the station.
A number of Customer Service Mobile (CSM) officers are also prepared to provide information and manage the flow of prospective passengers who have just arrived. Additional officers to control vehicles are also prepared at a number of points in the station parking area.
In terms of security and safety, Daop 1 Jakarta also collaborates with the TNI and Polri to secure all vital objects during the Eid transport period. Collaboration with Basarnas and 45 hospital providers is also carried out to accelerate handling of emergency conditions.
Since April 12 2024, the number of passengers arriving in the Daop 1 Jakarta area has begun to increase in total. Today, Friday 19 April 2024, there are around 44,932 passengers arriving. Of this number, 19,000 passengers got off at Pasar Senen Station, 13,300 got off at Gambir Station, 5,700 got off at Bekasi Station, 3,900 got off at Jatinegara Station, and the rest got off at Jakarta Kota, Cikarang, Karawang and Cikampek Stations. This number is still relatively high, up to 2x the normal period.
Public Relations Manager for Daop 1 Jakarta, Ixfan Hendriwintoko, also appealed to all train customers to check their luggage once more, including in the passenger seat area. This is because usually quite a lot of valuable items are left behind, such as wallets, cell phones, laptops, and others. The majority of service users who arrive in the Daop 1 Jakarta area come from the Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Semarang, Solo, Purwokerto, Kutoarjo and Malang areas.
Passengers departed recently following Eid
The volume of service users departing in the Daop 1 area on Friday 19 April 2024 increased once more compared to Thursday (18/4). This figure is still relatively high when compared to normal days. In total there were 29,000 passengers leaving Jakarta, 19,000 passengers for the initial train departure from Pasar Senen Station, and 10,000 passengers from Gambir Station.

Overall passenger occupancy reached 64% of the total available seats. Today additional trains are still running. In total there are 79 trains departing with 38 of them from Pasar Senen Station and 41 from Gambir Station.
Based on data from Friday 19 April 2024, around 807 thousand tickets for departures for the Eid transport period from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen have been sold. Of this number, the majority of bookings were made for scheduled departures on the favorite dates, namely 3-11 April 2024.
Based on data on tickets sold on these dates, the passenger volume occupancy rate has reached 100% with the highest departing passenger volume or peak homecoming flow recorded on April 4-10. The occupancy rate or seat occupancy on that date reached more than 100%. A number of destination cities that are favorite choices include Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Purwokerto, Kutoarjo, Semarang, Tegal, Solo and Bandung.
During the 2024 Eid transport period from March 31 (D-10) to May 21 (D+10) in total PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta prepared up to 968,193 long-distance train tickets (KAJJ) with 1,693 train trips for departures from Gambir and Pasar Stations. Monday. Of this number, 395 additional train trips are included, tickets for which can be booked starting Wednesday 6 March 2024. Additional trains are available for a number of favorite travel destinations such as Yogyakarta, Semarang, Solo, Blitar, Surabaya and Malang.
Orders for Eid transport tickets can be made 45 days before the scheduled departure via the Access by KAI application, the kai.id website, contact center 121, and various official sales partners who collaborate with KAI.
