Eight candidates signed the minutes of the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ to verify the results of June 28

Nine candidates attended the Supreme Court of Justice this Friday, TSJto attend the summons that the Electoral Chamber made to them as part of the investigation into the election results.

Enrique Márquez did not sign the document, while Edmundo González did not appear before the Supreme Court.

The president of the Supreme Court of Justice, Caryslia Beatriz Rodriguez, He stated that the Court’s actions are in accordance with Article 2 of the Constitution within its jurisdiction to review the electoral process of July 28, following the appeal for protection filed by President Nicolás Maduro to verify the results.

Rodriguez said that the identity of voters will be protected, in addition to ensuring peace and that the will of citizens is respected.

He added that all candidates, political parties and the CNE must submit all legal documents required by this body for the validation of the results. “Citizens and candidates are urged to abide by the ruling of the Supreme Court of Justice,” added Rodriguez.
