Dubai: Federal government employees in the UAE will get nine days off for the festival. The Eid holiday is till May 6. However, since the seventh and eighth dates are Saturday and Sunday, there will be a total of nine days off.
Earlier, it was announced that the holiday would be extended to three on May 1 and four on May 2. However, according to the latest announcement, the festival will be closed till May 6 on any day.
Private companies, on the other hand, will get four or five days off as announced earlier. The cabinet also decided to give leave to government employees in Sharjah till May 8.
