Idul Fitri 1445 Hijriah or Eid which falls on Wednesday (10/4) tomorrow is considered the right moment to unite the nation following holding the 2024 elections last February.
It is hoped that all components of the nation, from the people to the political elite, will be able to unite once more to build the nation.
Political observer from Al Azhar University Indonesia, Ujang Komarudin, believes that this year’s Eid has a special meaning for strengthening ties between the country.
Moreover, the 2024 Presidential-Vice Presidential Election has created residue, divisions and fissures between society and political figures who favor their respective candidates.
“After all, when the presidential election is nearing its end, we just have to wait for the Constitutional Court’s decision, of course all components of the nation must unite,” said Ujang to Media Indonesia, Tuesday (9/4).
According to him, Eid is Allah SWT’s teaching for humans to unite once more. Especially for the Indonesian people, Ujang said that Eid should be used as a momentum to forgive each other and build the nation together.

“Eid is God’s best teaching for humanity, especially for the Indonesian people, to rebuild friendship, halalbihalal, to forgive each other and build the nation together,” he said.
It is known that the 2024 presidential election will be contested by three candidates, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md. The Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU) has declared Prabowo-Gibran the winner by obtaining 96,214,691 votes.
Meanwhile, the Anies-Muhaimin pair received 40,971,906 votes. Meanwhile, candidate pair number 3 Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md received 27,040,878 votes. The total number of valid votes for the 2024 presidential election is 164,227,475 votes.
Apart from the presidential election, the 2024 election will also be held to elect legislative candidates from the district/city DPRD level to the DPR RI. At the DPR RI level, PDI Perjuangan was designated as the political party that received the most votes among 18 other political parties. (Z-8)
