Kuwait is taking steps to bring expatriate workers from more countries
Kuwait City: Kuwait has started moving to bring workers from more countries to the country. Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Talal Al Khalid Al Sabah directed Kuwait to take steps to recruit expatriate workers from countries other than countries that currently have a large number of expatriates. The Manpower Public Authority informed that the Minister’s proposal is to take action in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs to sign MoUs with new labor exporting countries.

These measures are aimed at solving the labor shortage in some sectors of the country. These moves are part of the country’s efforts to address the demographic imbalance problem by bringing in expatriates from different countries to meet the needs of the labor market. Discussions will be held with the Philippine authorities at the end of May to discuss matters related to sending skilled workers to Kuwait.

The Manpower Public Authority has initiated steps to take necessary steps in the matter as it is likely to resume bringing in workers from the Philippines after negotiations. According to reports, the Philippine delegation will demand eight hours of work per day on a daily basis, one day off per week, followed by overtime pay for domestic workers.
