Egyptian-Saudi discussions to facilitate procedures for the arrival of Egyptian pilgrims

Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, held a meeting in Cairo with the Minister of Interior, Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, within the framework of his official visit to Egypt.

The meeting reviewed aspects of joint cooperation between the two sides in several areas to facilitate the procedures for the arrival of Egyptian pilgrims to perform their rituals easily and smoothly, and to raise the quality of services provided to them, in order to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The Saudi Minister of Hajj explained that the visit comes within the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and as part of the ongoing efforts between the two countries to facilitate the performance of Umrah and the visit with peace and ease, pointing to the multiple facilities offered by the authorities. Concerned in the Kingdom to receive pilgrims from all over the world.

For his part, Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq welcomed the visit of the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah and his accompanying delegation, noting the close historical relations between the two brotherly countries, as well as his appreciation for the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to serve the pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors and to provide them with all aspects of care.
