Egyptian lawyer Ayman Mahfouz issued a warning to the Syndicate of Acting Professions in Egypt to remove the Egyptian artist Edward from the syndicate’s schedules because of his new song “Fax”, which the lawyer believes promotes homosexuality.

Mahfouz said in his statement: “Counsellor Ayman Mahfouz sent an official warning to the Actors Syndicate, Ashraf Zaki, to expel Edward from the Actors Syndicate following the latter published a short clip of the song “Fax” with an abnormal sexual connotation in terms of abnormal words and insinuations,” as he put it.

The Egyptian lawyer pointed out that: “What Edward did, has no aim other than to promote homosexuality, as if he was participating in the war on our culture and morals, especially from celebrities to call for spreading vice and immorality among our youth.”

And he continued: “This clip, in which Edward took the material of irony, to invite the bad people to support and recognize perversions as if they are part of our culture, and that these prohibited and criminal acts, which are punishable by Law No. 10 of 1961 once morest morals, as well as 178 of the Penal Code, which is punishable by 3 years in prison.” .

At the end of his statement, Mahfouz called for “referring the artist Edward to investigation and applying the appropriate punishment for those criminal acts that he published in the aforementioned video, and ordering him to be suspended from artistic and media work until the nearest session for investigation is determined and the appropriate punishment is imposed on the violating artist, which amounts to expunging from the Syndicate’s records. representatives and take the necessary legal measures,” according to the statement of the Egyptian lawyer.
