Dior announced that it had chosen the Egyptian actor, Ahmed Malek, as the first Arab ambassador for its fashion and perfumes in the Middle East.
Malek is considered one of the most prominent new figures in the world of contemporary Arab cinema, and he represents a symbol of daring, excellence, and innovation in the art world. Fruitful cooperation
The designation of Malik as the first regional ambassador of Dior in the field of men’s fashion and perfumes is the last step that links the French house with Egypt, and was preceded in December of last year by the house organizing a fashion show for it at the feet of the Giza pyramids.
And Ahmed Malik joins a group of international stars chosen by Dior as its ambassadors, as she previously collaborated last August with the Korean singing team TXT, while she signed another cooperation contract last January with Jimin, the star of the Korean singing team BTS. In 2013, she chose Robert Pattinson, the star of The Twilight Saga, to be the face of Dior Homme, and in 2015 the star Johnny Depp was chosen as the face of Dior Sauvage. Between 2008 and 2012, the British actor, Jude Law, was chosen to be the Dior brand ambassador.
Dior’s collaboration with Ahmed Malek comes following he was selected by the French Cartier House as one of its regional ambassadors. Last June, he appeared in a campaign for the house alongside Egyptian actress Tara Emad and Tunisian actors Zafer El-Abidine and Hind Sabri.

Malek was able to achieve many artistic successes during his career, and he recently appeared in the movie The Swimmers on the Netflix platform, which is inspired by the true story of two young women, Yousra and Sarah Al Mardini, who fled the Syrian war to Europe in the hope of participating in the Rio Olympics in 2016.
In Egypt, he became famous for his participation in the series “Zay El Shams”, and at the global level he was chosen as one of the rising stars at the Toronto Film Festival in 2018, and he also participated in the English movie “The Furnace” during the year 2020.
He will soon appear in the BBC series Boiling Point, cementing him as one of the new generation of Arab actors with global influence.
