Egypt.. Urgent measures after the losses of the Paris Olympics and the Moroccan sextuple

The Minister of Sports said in statements to the “Cairo 24” website: All federations will be held accountable after the end of the Paris 2024 Olympics, for all the results that occurred.

The Minister of Sports added: The state has provided the federations with all financial and technical support over the course of three years, and those who fail will be held accountable and those who succeed will be supported.

The Minister of Sports added: No one is above accountability, and the ways in which the financial amounts allocated to preparing the players are spent will be reviewed and whether they were spent correctly.

The Minister of Sports concluded his statements by saying: Comprehensive reports are currently being prepared on all the games that participated in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

For his part, Ehab El-Komy, a member of the Football Association’s Board of Directors, decided the fate of Brazilian Rogerio Micale, the technical director of the Olympic team, after the loss to Morocco by six clean goals in the Paris Olympics.

Al-Komi said in media statements: The Olympic team has one of the best coaches who have worked in Egyptian football, whether you like it or not, and it was able to reach the semi-finals with players who do not participate regularly with their clubs.

He continued: The national team was able to advance to the semi-finals for the first time in 60 years, and the level of ambition and the dream of winning a medal increased with the national team, before we faced France, which includes a constellation of stars in the largest European leagues, and we were only 8 minutes away from playing for the gold, but naive mistakes caused the Moroccan national team to return.

He stressed: The players played two matches with extra time in 6 days, which is equal to 3 matches in 6 days. Competing for the medal is an achievement beyond achievement, and certainly the fatigue, Zizo’s injury and Omar Fayed’s suspension are among the reasons that caused the big loss to Morocco, although there is no justification for that.

He continued: The fans would have thanked the players if we had lost by only one goal, but the defeat by six goals caused regret and bitterness in our hearts as fans and officials.

Al-Komi concluded his statements: As an official, I have nothing to do but apologize to all people. It is not my habit to hide, and I apologize if I make a mistake. However, we must not destroy the temple because some of this generation will join the first team and will lead Egyptian football in the future.

It is noteworthy that Mikali’s contract with the Football Association ended yesterday, Thursday, at the end of the national team’s journey in the Paris 2024 Olympics, as he is scheduled to hold a session with officials to decide his future with Egyptian football.

The Paris 2024 Olympics competitions kicked off on July 26 and will continue until August 11, while the Egyptian delegation won a single medal through Mohamed El-Sayed, the fencing champion.
