Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists on social media circulated publications that include pictures of a girl taking off some of her clothes during a video call with a young man, and the spread of a picture of him naked, which sparked an interaction.
The Egyptian Ministry of Interior commented on what is being circulated with a statement saying: “It was possible to identify the owner of the aforementioned account (a worker, residing in the Helwan Police Department in Cairo), as well as to determine the identity of the girl referred to (residing at the same address).”
And she continued: “After legalizing the procedures, the account holder was arrested and confronted him. He decided that there was a relationship between him and the girl referred to, and the precedent of his proposal to her, and her family refused that, and the girl’s uncle’s son (a tuk-tuk driver) lured him to his place of residence and beat him “without injuries” and photographed him without clothes to force him to leave His uncle’s daughter and his threat to publish the video, which angered him, so he published photos and videos to defame the aforementioned and her family in revenge for him.
And she added, “It was possible to arrest (the girl’s uncle’s son) and by confronting him he confessed to committing the incident as indicated. By summoning the aforementioned girl, she supported the above and accused the defendant of defaming her.. Legal measures were taken.”
