Under the directives of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, Egypt received the first group of Chinese nationals coming from Sudan on Tuesday evening.
The Egyptian Ministry of Transport stated that following coordination and communication between foreign embassies in Egypt with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Transport and the concerned authorities in Egypt to receive their returning citizens, the first batch of Chinese nationals coming from Sudan were received and all kinds of facilities and care were provided to them upon their arrival at the land port of Qastal on the border with Sudan.
The ministry stated that all procedures and facilities were provided to receive the Chinese returning from Sudan and provide them with complete comfort, announcing that the General Authority for Land and Dry Ports had coordinated with all state agencies to provide all facilities for the returnees, opening advanced points of the Egyptian Red Crescent in the two ports and providing more ambulances. Increasing the staff of the two ports to accommodate the density of returnees and the speedy completion of all access procedures.
The Egyptian Ministry stated that a number of restrooms were provided for workers who joined the original work team in the two ports, and people who did not have money were exempted from access fees, noting that the total number of returnees from Sudan through the Qastal land port of various nationalities amounted to 1297 returnees within four days. The number of returnees from Sudan through the Arqin land port of various nationalities reached 8,897 during the same period.
